Verified in release 3.4.5.21 of “Trade Management for Kazakhstan” (edition 3.4).

You receive a batch of fur coats from a supplier. Each item has a control identification mark (CIM), while the supplier’s invoice specifies “fur: mink” next to the product. You create an item, reach the “GISM Fur Type” attribute, and discover that there is no list—the field is empty. In this situation, open the “GISM Fur Types” directory from the item card field and create the required entry in it. This is a classifier from which 1C obtains the fur type to complete the related labelling data. Once completed, the value can be selected in fur product cards and used when preparing documents.

1. Purpose

The directory stores a list of natural fur types: mink, Arctic fox, fox, rabbit, sheepskin, sable, and others. Its values are selected in the item card and then used when recording transactions involving labelled fur products. The directory itself does not generate accounting entries—it is an auxiliary classifier.

2. Where to Find It

This is a system directory, so there may be no separate command for opening it in the main menu. The main way to work with it is through the item card:

  • Through the item card. Open the Master Data and Administration section, go to the item list, open the fur product card, and find the “GISM Fur Type” attribute. Click the selection button in the field, then open the full list of values. In the list form, you can select an existing entry or create a new one.

  • From the labelling setup form. If your infobase provides a separate command for working with labelling directories, it is displayed in the labelling integration settings section. The availability and location of such a command depend on the interface configuration and the user’s permissions.

  • Through an already completed product card. If a fur type was selected previously, open the value directly from the corresponding item field. This allows you to check its name and available attributes without searching for a separate command in the program sections.

You should not use a direct navigation link containing the object’s presumed internal name: the object name and the availability of a separate list form depend on the configuration supplied. The reliable method is to open the directory from the “GISM Fur Type” attribute in the item card.

2a. How to Find Your Release

Open the “Help” → “About” menu or the program information window. It shows the platform version and configuration version—the release to which these instructions apply. Release 3.4.5.21 is described here. In another version, the set of fields, commands, and forms may differ in detail.

3. How to Complete It

Open the list from the “GISM Fur Type” field in the item card, click “Create”, and complete the available entry fields.

Field Completion Purpose
Name Required The name that the user sees in the selection list: “Mink,” “Blue Arctic Fox,” “Sheepskin.” Use consistent and clear names to avoid creating duplicates.
Code Assigned by the program The internal code of the directory entry. 1C usually generates it automatically. It is neither a labelling code nor a product characteristic.
Labelling classification attributes According to the form If these attributes are present in your version of the form, complete them using the data employed by the organisation when processing labelled goods. The names and set of additional fields depend on the release and infobase settings.
Deletion mark No Used for entries that should no longer be selectable. If item cards or documents already reference the entry, first replace the reference with a valid value.

Do not create multiple entries for the same type of fur. “Mink” and “Natural Mink” should not become different rows merely because of differences in wording. Before creating an entry, review the list and search by name.

The set of additional card attributes is version-dependent. Use the fields actually displayed in the entry form in release 3.4.5.21 and available under the user’s permissions.

4. Worked Example with Accounting Entries

The directory does not create any movements itself, so let us examine its use in the sale of a fur coat when the value has already been selected in the item card.

Given. An organisation sells a mink coat. The selling price is 1 160 000 ₸ including VAT. The VAT rate in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2026 is 16 %. The product’s cost is 700 000 ₸. In the “Mink Coat” item card, “Mink” is selected in the “GISM Fur Type” attribute, and the product is accounted for as labelled.

Calculation:

  • value excluding VAT: 1 160 000 ÷ 1,16 = 1 000 000 ₸;
  • VAT 16 %: 160 000 ₸;
  • cost: 700 000 ₸.

Example accounting entries for recording the sale:

Transaction Dr Cr Amount, ₸
Sales revenue recognised 1210 6010 1 000 000
VAT payable accrued 1210 3130 160 000
Cost of the fur coat written off 7010 1330 700 000

In this example, account 1210 is used for short-term trade receivables, 6010 for sales revenue, 3130 for VAT payable, 7010 for cost of sales, and 1330 for goods.

Receipt of payment from the customer is recorded as Dr 1030 Cr 1210 — 1 160 000 ₸.

The selected fur type does not change the sales amount, VAT, or cost. It serves as an item characteristic for transactions involving labelled goods. Therefore, an error in the classification value does not change the accounting amounts, but it must be corrected in the product card, after which the related electronic documents must be generated again if they contain the corresponding attribute.

5. Transaction Types

Unlike a document, the directory has no separate transaction types—it is a classifier. Its values may be involved in three scenarios:

  • Opening balance entry and receipt of labelled fur products—the fur type is specified in the item card.
  • Movement of goods—the value is used when recording the receipt, transfer, and sale of the relevant items.
  • Withdrawal of goods from circulation—item data is used in configuration-supported transactions involving the labelled product and its CIM.

6. What Is Generated

When saved, the directory entry itself does not generate accounting entries. It is saved in the infobase, after which an item card can reference it.

  • Accounting entries are generated by the business transaction document, such as a sales or receipt document, rather than by the directory.
  • Electronic documents are generated on the basis of the corresponding accounting documents. For sales subject to VAT, the 16 % rate applies in 2026 calculations.
  • Labelling data is processed by the documents and mechanisms provided by the configuration. The fur type serves as one of the item’s classification attributes.
  • Accounting for CIMs and labelling statuses is performed by specialised documents and registers if the relevant functionality is enabled and configured.

7. Print Forms

The classifier directory has no accounting print forms of its own. Depending on the interface and user permissions, the following standard commands may be available for the list:

  • outputting the list of entries to a spreadsheet document;
  • printing the list, if the form provides such a command;
  • saving or copying tabular data using standard platform tools.

Delivery notes, accompanying invoices for goods, electronic invoices, and invoices relate to business transaction documents, not to an entry in the “GISM Fur Types” directory.

8. Common Errors

The “GISM Fur Type” field is not completed. No fur type has been selected in the item card. Open the product card, complete the attribute with a value from the directory, and process the transaction again.

The selection list is empty. The directory does not yet contain any available entries, or the user has not been granted access to them. Open the full list from the “GISM Fur Type” field and create the required value if you have the appropriate permissions.

Duplicates have appeared in the list: “Mink,” “mink,” “Nat. Mink.” Select one master entry, replace the references in the item cards, and mark the redundant entries for deletion. After checking the references, use the standard processing function for deleting marked objects.

An incorrect fur type is specified in an electronic document. Check the value in the item card, replace it with the correct directory entry, and generate the document again according to the procedure applicable to its current status.

The entry is in use and cannot be deleted. Item cards or documents reference it. First replace the reference wherever permitted, then set the deletion mark and run the standard check for deleting marked objects.

The directory is not visible in the menu. This does not mean that the object is absent. Open the list from the “GISM Fur Type” attribute in the item card. The field’s availability is determined by the configuration functionality and the user’s permissions.

9. Questions and Answers

Q: How does an entry’s internal code differ from labelling data?
A: The internal code is used to identify the entry in 1C. Labelling classification attributes, if provided by the form, have a separate purpose. One attribute must not be substituted for another.

Q: Must this directory be completed if the organisation does not work with labelled fur products?
A: No. The directory is used for items to which the relevant labelling functionality applies. No fur type is selected for other goods.

Q: Does the fur type affect the VAT rate?
A: No. The fur type is a product classification attribute and does not itself establish a tax rate. The numerical example for 2026 applies the 16 % VAT rate.

Q: What accounting entries does the directory generate when an entry is saved?
A: None. Accounting entries are generated by business transaction documents. The example above uses the entries Dr 1210 Cr 6010, Dr 1210 Cr 3130, and Dr 7010 Cr 1330.

Q: How can I remove a duplicate fur type without losing history?
A: Select the master entry, replace references to it in the item cards, mark the duplicate for deletion, and run the standard processing function for deleting marked objects. If data continues to reference the entry, the program will not delete it.

Q: How can I open the directory if there is no separate command in the menu?
A: Open the fur product card, go to the “GISM Fur Type” field, and use the selection button to open the full list of values. This method does not depend on the object’s presumed internal name.

Q: Where is the fur type completed once?
A: The value is selected in the item card. Documents then use the data from this card within the functionality implemented in the configuration.

Q: Can the list of fur types be transferred from another infobase?
A: Use standard data exchange or import mechanisms compatible with the structure of both infobases. Ordinary list output is primarily intended for viewing and does not imply that reverse import is automatically available.

Q: What should I do if the fur type field is unavailable?
A: Check whether the labelling functionality is enabled, whether the item belongs to the relevant product category, and whether the user has permission to edit the card. After changing the settings, reopen the item form.

Q: Does the directory change because of the 2026 values?
A: The classifier itself does not depend on the MCI, minimum wage, or basic tax deduction. For related calculations in 2026, VAT of 16 %, an MCI of 4 325 ₸, a minimum wage of 85 000 ₸, and a basic PIT deduction of 30 MCI apply.

10. Related Documents

  • Basis for completion: the fur type name is selected according to the characteristics of the specific product and the supplier’s source documents. Only the attributes provided by the configuration form are entered in the directory entry.
  • Where the value is used: primarily in the Item card. The card data may subsequently be used by receipt, transfer, and sales documents, as well as by electronic document and labelling mechanisms provided by the configuration.
  • Connection with labelling: transactions involving CIMs are recorded using specialised documents. The fur type directory does not replace the accounting of labelling codes and does not generate them independently.
  • Connection with accounting: changing a directory entry does not create accounting entries or recalculate the amounts of previously recorded transactions.

Frequently asked questions

How does the GISM fur type code differ from the directory entry code?
The entry code is 1C’s internal numbering and is used by the system itself. The GISM fur type code is the value sent to the accompanying invoice for goods and the labelling system. They must not be confused: it is the GISM code that is transmitted for labelling.
Must I complete this directory if I do not maintain fur labelling records?
No. If you do not sell fur products subject to labelling, the attribute remains empty and the directory does not need to be completed. It is required only for fur labelling in GISM.
Does the fur type affect the VAT rate?
No. VAT on fur products in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2026 is the standard 16 %, regardless of fur type. The directory specifies the classification code for labelling, not the tax rate.
What accounting entries does the directory itself generate when an entry is saved?
None. It is a classifier. Accounting entries (Dr 1210 Cr 6010, Dr 1210 Cr 3130, Dr 7010 Cr 1330) are generated by sales documents that reference the fur type through the item.
I created a duplicate fur type. How can I remove it without losing history?
Mark the duplicate for deletion, replace the reference in the item cards with the master entry, then run Administration → Deletion of Marked Objects. The system will not allow an entry that is in use to be deleted directly.
How can I quickly open the directory if it is not visible in the menu?
Select Service → “Go to Navigation Link,” paste e1cib/list/Справочник.ВидыМехаГИСМ, and click “Go.”
Where is the fur type populated automatically?
You specify the fur type once in the item card, after which it is automatically populated in goods movement documents and the accompanying invoice for goods for that product. You do not need to select it manually in every document.
Can the list of fur types be transferred from another infobase?
Yes, through More → Output List to Excel and reverse import, or through standard exchange mechanisms. However, it is easier to create the 10–15 fur types actually used manually, as there are not many of them.
