5. Posting and movements
The catalog is not a document and is not posted — it does not generate register movements and does not create accounting entries. It is a classifier analytic.
The impact on accounting arises indirectly, when the catalog value is used in inventory movement and alcohol accounting documents. Under the standard configuration logic, the relevant documents (sales, receipts, etc.) generate movements and entries under the standard RK chart of accounts:

VAT example: at a sales price excluding tax of 100,000 ₸, the VAT amount = 100,000 × 16% = 16,000 ₸ (Dt 1210 Ct 3130). The sale is accompanied by issuing an ESF in the ESF IS and preparing an SNT, where the type of alcoholic product is used as a classification attribute.
The RK VAT rate for 2026 is 16%. Values from old demo data (12%) are not applicable.
