Checked on release 3.0.74.2 "Accounting for Kazakhstan" (version 3.0).
The bank has opened a new current account for you. You have a bank service agreement, tariffs, and a card with signature samples in hand. Six months later, an audit comes, and the chief accountant asks: "Where is the scan of the agreement for the account at Halyk?". You dig into the shared network folder, then into your email, then into the messenger — and can't find it. To avoid this, the file should have been attached directly to the bank account card in 1C. It is these attachments that the directory "Bank Accounts: Attached Files" stores.
This is a service (subordinate) directory. You almost never access it manually — it opens automatically when you click "Attached Files" in the bank account card. However, it is useful to understand how it works: files take up space in the database, they can be lost during export, and they are convenient for organizing.
1. Purpose
The directory stores files (scans, PDFs, photos, xlsx) attached to a specific bank account of the organization or counterparty. Each entry is one file: current account agreement, tariffs, a letter from the bank about the details, a certificate of account opening. It does not create journal entries or tax movements — it is a storage for attachments, not a document.
2. Where to find
This directory does not have a direct menu item — it always opens from the account card:
- Section "Directories" (or "Main") → "Bank Accounts" — if you are opening accounts for the organization; for the counterparty: "Directories" → "Counterparties" → counterparty card → "Bank Accounts".
- Open the required account.
- In the command panel of the card, click "Attached Files" (paperclip icon).
- A list of files specifically for this account will open.
You can open the entire directory (all files for all accounts) through the navigation link. Menu "Service and Settings" (☰ icon at the top right) → "Go to Navigation Link", insert:
e1cib/list/Directory.BankAccountsAttachedFiles
2a. How to know your release
Menu "Help" → "About the Program". In the window, you will see the version of the platform (for example, 8.3.24.x) and the configuration release — for this manual, it is 3.0.74.2. If you have a different release, the location of buttons and the set of fields may vary slightly, but the logic remains the same.
3. How to fill
A file is added using one of the buttons in the list of attached files: "Add" (select a file from the disk), "Create from Template", or by dragging the file with the mouse into the window. After that, the file card opens. Let's go through the fields.
| Field | Purpose and what happens in case of an error |
|---|---|
| Name (mandatory) | This is what you will see in the list. It is automatically filled from the file name. Name it sensibly: "Current Account Agreement Halyk No. 123 dated 12.01.2026". If you leave scan0001, you won't find the necessary document in a year. |
| File (mandatory) | The attachment itself — it is already uploaded. You can only change the content through "Open" → edit → "Finish editing", otherwise the original in the database will remain old. |
| Extension | File type (pdf, jpg, docx). It is set automatically. It determines which program will open the file. Do not touch. |
| Author | Who uploaded it. It is automatically set to the current user. It is needed to understand who to approach with questions about the document. |
| Creation / Modification Date | Service marks. They are filled automatically. They indicate whether the scan is current. |
| Store file versions | Checkbox. If enabled — 1C keeps a history of edits (convenient for agreements with additional agreements). If disabled — only the latest version is stored, and the database is smaller. |
| Signed with EDS / Encrypted | Indicators. If the file is signed with EDS inside 1C — a mark is set. Do not change manually: if you remove the signature, you will lose the legal force of the attachment. |
| Comment | Free text: tariff validity period, additional agreement number. It does not affect anything except your convenience. |
Important: the object "attached file" cannot be created "in the air" — it is always born attached to a specific bank account (this is its "owner"). Therefore, you do not see the "owner" field — it is filled in by the account from which you clicked the paperclip.
4. Analyzed Example
The company "Astana-Trade" opened a current account in tenge at Halyk Bank. Accountant Aigul wants the agreement and tariffs to always be at hand in 1C.
Steps:
- "Directories" → "Bank Accounts" → account
KZ...Halyk (₸) → "Attached Files". - "Add" → selects
Agreement_RKO_Halyk.pdf(2.4 MB). - In the file card, changes the name to "Current Account Agreement Halyk No. 77-R dated 20.01.2026", in the comment writes "Tariff 'Business Start', subscription fee 4,000 ₸/month". Saves.
- In the same way, adds
Tariffs_Halyk_2026.pdfandCertificate_of_Account_Opening.jpg.
This directory does not create journal entries — this is fundamental. The file simply lies in the database next to the account. Money movements do not appear here, but in payment documents for this account. For example, when the first subscription fee of 4,000 ₸ is debited from this account, the document "Debit from Current Account" will generate:
| Dr | Cr | Amount | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7210 (administrative expenses) | 3310 (KZ to the service provider) | 4,000 ₸ | Bank services (without VAT) |
| 3310 | 1030 (money in current accounts) | 4,000 ₸ | Debit from current account |
Bank services in the RK are exempt from VAT, so there is no 16% rate here. However, if you had provided a service to a client for 1,160,000 ₸ with 16% VAT, the sales document would have been: Dr 1210 Cr 6010 — 1,000,000 ₸ (income), Dr 1210 Cr 3130 — 160,000 ₸ (16% VAT), Dr 7010 Cr 1330 — cost. But all this is in other documents; the attached file only stores the scan of the agreement under which this operation took place.
Conclusion of the example: three files with a total size of ~5 MB are attached to the Halyk account. Now, during any audit, Aigul opens the account → paperclip → and instantly retrieves the agreement.
5. Types of Operations
The directory does not have "types of operations" in the sense of documents. But with the entry, you can do:
- Add file — from disk, by template, scanning (if a scanner is connected), or from an email.
- Open / Open Directory — view or edit.
- Take for editing / Finish editing — lock against simultaneous editing by multiple users.
- Save a copy — export the file back to disk.
- Sign with EDS / Add encryption — legally certify the attachment.
- Set version storage — keep a history of document changes.
- Mark for deletion — with subsequent deletion through "Administration".
6. What is formed when saving
- No journal entry. The accounting register is not affected.
- No electronic documents (ESF, CNT). The attached file is not sent to the ESF information system.
- The entry is saved in the file storage of the information database (or in volumes on the disk, if "File Handling" → storage volumes are configured). A card is created in the directory and, if the checkbox is enabled, a file version in the version register.
7. Printed Forms
The attached file does not have its own printed forms — the content of the attachment itself is printed using the program that opens it (Acrobat, Word, image viewer). From 1C, the commands "Open" and "Save a Copy" are available, after which printing goes to an external application.
8. Common Errors
"File size exceeds the allowable" — the file is larger than the limit set in "Administration" → "File Handling Settings" → "Maximum File Size". Reduce the scan (compress PDF) or increase the limit.
"File is occupied for editing by user …" — someone clicked "Take for editing" and did not finish. Ask them to click "Finish editing" or, with administrator rights, cancel the occupation in the file list.
"File name not specified" / empty name — you cleared the "Name" field. Enter any meaningful title and save again.
File does not open, "Application not found" — there is no program for this extension on the computer (for example, there is no .dwg viewer). Save a copy via "Save As" and open it with the appropriate program.
Files disappeared after database transfer — when stored in volumes on the disk, the volumes did not export along with the database. Check the volume settings and manually transfer the storage directories.
9. FAQ
What is the difference between this directory and regular "Attached Files"? It is the same mechanism of attached files, but subordinate specifically to bank accounts. Each file is tightly bound to its account, which is why a separate service directory is created in 1C.
Does the attached file affect journal entries or VAT? No. This is a storage for scans. It does not create accounting entries, VAT 16%, or movements in tax registers.
Where are the files physically located — in the database or on the disk? By default — inside the information database. If "File Handling Settings" has storage volumes enabled, files are located in directories on the disk/server, and only links are in the database.
How to attach multiple files at once? Select them in the explorer and drag them with the mouse into the attached files window, or click "Add" one by one. Each will become a separate entry.
Can I sign the attachment with EDS directly in 1C? Yes — the "Sign with EDS" command in the card or file list, if you have cryptography set up. After signing, the file will have a "Signed" mark.
Why is the database size increasing? Exactly because of such attachments. Scans of agreements and statements take up a lot of space. The solution is to store files in volumes on the disk rather than in the database and compress PDFs/images before uploading.
How to delete an unnecessary file? Mark it for deletion (Del or right-click → "Mark for Deletion"), then delete it through "Administration" → "Delete Marked Objects".
Can I open all files for all accounts in one list?
Yes, through the navigation link e1cib/list/Directory.BankAccountsAttachedFiles — it will open the full directory with all attachments for all accounts.
The file was accidentally deleted from the database — can it be restored? Only if version storage is enabled or you have a backup of the database. Otherwise — no. Therefore, for important agreements, enable "Store file versions".
Who can see these files? All users who have access to the corresponding bank account. Rights are configured through access profiles in "Administration" → "User and Rights Settings".
10. Related Objects
- Bank Accounts — the "owner" of the file. The attached file does not exist without an account and is created only from its card.
- Counterparties / Organizations — the accounts to which the files are attached belong to them.
- Debit / Credit from Current Account — documents that actually move money through the account (account 1030) and create journal entries; it is convenient to keep a scan of the payment document next to them in this directory.
- Counterparty Agreements — they have their own similar mechanism for attached files; do not confuse: attach contractual scans to the agreement, and bank ones to the account.
How to know your release
Menu "Help" → "About the Program" — it indicates the version of the "1C:Enterprise" platform and the configuration release. Compare with the beginning of the manual: if your release differs from 3.0.74.2, individual buttons and fields may be located differently.
This manual is prepared for the configuration "Accounting for Kazakhstan", version 3.0, release 3.0.74.2.
