Checked on release 3.0.74.2 "Accounting for Kazakhstan" (version 3.0).
Monday morning. You have 40 payment orders in the queue and three bank statements from the weekend. You open the internet bank, download the file, then in 1C you enter the receipts one by one — an hour of work and two errors in the payment purpose. Familiar? To avoid this, 1C has "Bank Exchange Settings." You set up the connection "organization — account — bank" once, and then payment orders go to the bank, and statements come back with one click. Let's figure out how to fill this out to avoid getting "Counterparty not found" on every second line.
1. Purpose
The document stores the connection parameters of your bank account to the bank for electronic exchange: exporting payment orders to the bank and importing statements back into 1C. It supports direct exchange (DirectBank, directly from 1C without files) and file exchange through "1C: Bank Client." The document does not create any entries — it includes and configures the exchange channel.
2. Where to find
- Section "Bank and Cash" → group "Service" → "Bank Exchange Settings" (or "Bank Exchange" → settings button).
- From the account card: "Bank and Cash" → "Bank Accounts" → open account → "Configure Bank Exchange (DirectBank)".
- Direct navigation link in 1C:
e1cib/list/Document.BankExchangeSettings
To open via the link: menu "Service and Settings" (or "Main Menu") → "File" → "Open by Link" / "Go to Navigation Link", paste the link above, click "Go."
2a. How to find out your release
"Help" → "About the Program" (the "?" icon in the upper right corner). It shows the platform version (for example, 8.3.24) and configuration release — in our case "Accounting for Kazakhstan," version 3.0, release 3.0.74.2. If you have a different version, some buttons and fields may be named differently — check against your release.
3. How to fill out
The setting is created for the connection "organization + one bank account". Each account has its own setting.
| Field | Required | Why and what will happen if you make a mistake |
|---|---|---|
| Organization | ✅ | The firm for which the exchange is taking place. If you make a mistake, payment orders will be sent from the wrong legal entity, and the statement will go to the wrong place. |
| Bank Account | ✅ | The specific account (IBAN) you are exchanging with. The main field. An incorrect account will result in the statement being uploaded to someone else's current account, and balances will go awry. |
| Bank / BIC | ✅ (auto) | Automatically pulled from the account. Determines the file format and the address of the DirectBank service. |
| Exchange Method | ✅ | "Direct exchange (DirectBank)" or "File exchange (Bank Client)." This affects the other fields. |
| Identifier / Login | ✅ for DirectBank | Your login on the bank's service. Empty or incorrect — the connection will not be established. |
| Service Address (URL) | ✅ for DirectBank (auto) | Automatically filled based on the bank. Change only if the bank has provided a different address. |
| Digital Signature Certificate | ✅ for DirectBank | The electronic signature used to sign payment orders. No certificate or expired — the bank will reject the document. |
| Export Directory/File | ✅ for file exchange | Where 1C places the file with payment orders for the bank. |
| Import Directory/File | ✅ for file exchange | Where 1C reads the statement from. If you specify the wrong folder — "File not found." |
| Encoding / File Format | — | Usually 1C-standard. Change if the bank requires Windows-1251 and vice versa. |
| Documents for Export | — | Mark what to export: outgoing payment order, payment request. |
Order of actions:
- Create a setting, select Organization and Bank Account — the other fields will be automatically filled based on the bank.
- Select exchange method. If the bank is on the DirectBank support list — choose it: no need to manually transfer files.
- For DirectBank, enter your login and specify the signature certificate, click "Check Connection". For file exchange — specify export/import folders.
- Post the document. Then you will work with the buttons "Send to Bank" and "Upload Statement" from the payment journal.
4. An example with entries
LLP "Astana-Snab," VAT payer. Set up DirectBank for the account at Halyk Bank.
What was before the exchange. You shipped goods to the customer for 1,160,000 ₸ (base 1,000,000 ₸ + VAT 16% = 160,000 ₸). The "Sales" document provided:
| Debit | Credit | Amount, ₸ | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1210 | 6010 | 1,000,000 | Revenue from sales of goods |
| 1210 | 3130 | 160,000 | VAT payable 16% |
| 7010 | 1330 | 700,000 | Cost of goods sold |
What the exchange does. In the morning, you click "Upload Statement". The bank sends a transaction: 1,160,000 ₸ received from the customer. 1C automatically finds the counterparty and contract by IIN/BIN and IBAN and suggests creating a "Receipt to Current Account":
| Debit | Credit | Amount, ₸ | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1030 | 1210 | 1,160,000 | Payment received from customer to current account |
In the same statement — your outgoing payment to the supplier of 580,000 ₸, which you sent the day before using the "Send to Bank" button:
| Debit | Credit | Amount, ₸ | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3310 | 1030 | 580,000 | Paid to supplier from current account |
Important: VAT and electronic invoices (ESF) for the movement of money are not generated — VAT "sits" on account 3130 from the moment of sale, not from the moment of payment. The exchange with the bank only transfers the fact of the movement of money. The document "Bank Exchange Settings" in this example does not create entries — it only ensured that the statement was uploaded automatically, not manually across 40 lines.
5. Types of exchange (what the document provides)
- Direct exchange (DirectBank) — payment orders go out and statements come in directly from 1C through the bank's secure service, no files needed.
- File exchange ("1C: Bank Client") — 1C exports a
.txtfile with payment orders, you manually upload it to the internet bank; the response statement is saved and uploaded to 1C. - Export — outgoing payment orders, payment requests.
- Import — bank statement (incoming and outgoing transactions on the account).
6. What is generated upon posting
The document "Bank Exchange Settings" is configuration. It does not create accounting entries and does not generate electronic invoices (ESF) or tax returns (FNO). Upon posting, it:
- stores connection parameters for the pair "organization + account" (exchange settings register);
- enables the electronic exchange flag on the bank account — buttons "Send to Bank" / "Upload Statement" appear in the payment list;
- registers the certificate and access details for subsequent signing of payment orders.
All entries (Debit 1030 / Credit 1030, 1210, 3310, etc.) arise in the documents "Receipt to Current Account" and "Withdrawal from Current Account", which are created when uploading the statement.
7. Print forms
The configuration document does not have print forms in the accounting sense (acts, invoices are not printed here). Work is done with files and exchange statuses:
- report on the results of uploading the statement (how many lines were uploaded, how many were not matched);
- exchange protocol / journal DirectBank (statuses of sent payment orders: "Sent," "Accepted by Bank," "Executed," "Rejected");
- export file for the internet bank (in the case of file exchange).
8. Common errors
"Bank account not filled in" — IBAN not selected. Open the setting, specify the account in the "Bank Account" field.
"Exchange with the bank for this account is already configured" — you are creating a duplicate. Do not create multiple settings: one setting per account. Open the existing one and edit it.
"Failed to establish a connection with the bank server" — incorrect service address, no internet, or the bank is unavailable. Check the URL (it is automatically filled based on the bank), click "Check Connection."
"Signature certificate not found" / "Cryptographic provider not installed" — no digital signature certificate selected or cryptographic library (NUC RK / CryptoSocket) not installed. Install the signing tool and select a valid certificate in the "Certificate" field.
"Counterparty by details not found" (when uploading the statement) — there is no counterparty with such BIN/IBAN in the database. In the upload form, select the counterparty manually and click "Remember Matching" — next time it will be pulled automatically.
"Export/Import file not found" (file exchange) — the wrong folder specified or the file does not exist yet. Check the path in the settings and that the internet bank saved the statement there.
"Certificate has expired" — the bank rejects payment orders. Reissue the digital signature at NUC RK and specify the new certificate in the settings.
9. FAQ
See the block below — the same questions are presented in a structured list.
10. Related documents
- Bank Account (reference) — the setting is entered "from" the account card and is linked to it.
- Outgoing Payment Order — exported to the bank through this exchange.
- Withdrawal from Current Account — created when uploading outgoing transactions from the statement (Debit 3310, 3390, taxes… / Credit 1030).
- Receipt to Current Account — created when uploading incoming transactions (Debit 1030 / Credit 1210, 1280, etc.).
- Digital Signature Key Certificates — store the signature used to sign payment orders during the exchange.
The exchange setting is not entered "based on" another document and does not serve as a basis itself — it is an independent configuration object.
