If you can't see the ESF tab in your database, it simply means the corresponding function is not enabled in the program settings — this is resolved quickly, without contacting specialists. Just activate the functional option in the "Administration" section, and the tab will appear in the interface for working with electronic invoices.
Why the ESF tab disappears
In the standard configuration "1C:Accounting for Kazakhstan", most functionality blocks are managed through functional options. If an option is turned off, the corresponding documents, reports, and tabs simply do not appear in the interface — while the data itself in the database is not lost. The most common reasons why the ESF tab ends up hidden are:
- the "Use" checkbox was unchecked during the initial setup of the database;
- after a configuration update, the setting was reset or changed;
- work is being done under an account with limited rights, where part of the interface is hidden;
- an interface view is being used in which the section is not displayed on the panel.
How to enable the ESF tab
Go to the "Administration" section — "General settings". There, find the "Electronic invoice settings" block and check the "Use" box. After that, the ESF tab will appear in the program interface, and you will be able to work with electronic invoices in the usual way.
If the checkbox was previously unchecked (for example, during the initial setup of the database or after a configuration update), you just need to activate it — no additional actions are required.
Step-by-step procedure
- Open the program under a user with administrator rights or with full setup rights.
- Go to the "Administration" section.
- Open the "General settings" item.
- Find the "Electronic invoice settings" block.
- Check the "Use" box.
- Save the settings (if required) and make sure the ESF tab has appeared in the interface.
- If the tab does not appear immediately, refresh the form or restart the program.
What to do if the tab did not appear after enabling
In some cases, simply activating the checkbox is not enough — the tab may remain hidden due to interface settings or access rights. Check the following:
- User rights. If you are not working as an administrator, access to the ESF section may be limited by your role. Check the rights with the person responsible for administering the database.
- Interface panel settings. The section may simply have been removed from the sections panel. Through the panel settings (the interface settings button), return the required section to the displayed ones.
- Refreshing the form. After changing functional options, the interface sometimes requires reopening the window or logging back into the program.
- Configuration relevance. Make sure the current configuration release is installed — outdated versions may work with ESF differently.
What to set up before starting to work with ESF
Once the tab has become available, in order to fully issue electronic invoices you usually need to fill in the related settings. Base them on your organization's data and the requirements of the ESF IS system:
- organization details required for issuing ESF (including data for identification in the system);
- VAT registration information, if the organization is a VAT payer;
- settings for exchange with the electronic invoice information system;
- certificate (EDS) data used for signing and sending ESF.
The specific list of fields depends on the configuration release, so rely on the program's own prompts and on the current SRC requirements for working in the ESF IS.
Common mistakes
- Looking for the tab in the wrong section. The setting to enable ESF is located specifically in "Administration" — "General settings", not in the sales or purchases section.
- Working under a limited account. A user without the necessary rights may not see either the setting or the tab itself.
- Expecting that the data disappeared. Disabling the option hides the interface but does not delete previously issued ESF — after enabling, they are available again.
- Changing the setting without saving or without refreshing the form. Sometimes it is enough to reopen the window for the tab to appear.
- Ignoring related settings. An enabled option by itself does not fill in details and exchange data — they need to be checked separately.
What to check
- The "Use" checkbox in the "Electronic invoice settings" block of the "Administration" — "General settings" section is checked.
- The user has sufficient rights to work with ESF.
- The section with ESF is displayed on the interface sections panel.
- The current release of the "1C:Accounting for Kazakhstan" configuration is installed.
- The organization details, exchange settings with the ESF IS, and EDS data for signing are filled in.
- After changing the settings, the form has been refreshed or the program restarted.
