Sources of origin in 1C:Accounting for Kazakhstan are configured through the corresponding reference book in which this analytics is maintained: you enter the required source values into it, after which they become available for selection in documents and reports. If a value does not appear when filling out a document, the reason is almost always an unfilled or unsaved reference book record, or the fact that the analytics is not linked to the required accounting object.
What sources of origin are and why they need to be configured
A source of origin is an analytical attribute that shows where a particular accounting object (goods, asset, indicator) "came from." It allows you to group data when generating reports and to correctly fill out documents where the program requires this attribute to be specified. As long as there is not a single value in the reference book, the source field in documents remains empty or unavailable for selection, and it cannot be filled in.
Configuration comes down to two steps: first you populate the reference book with values, then these values are used in primary documents and appear in the analytics of reports.
Configuration procedure
- Open the reference book in which sources of origin are maintained.
- Create a new record and enter the required source value (name and, if necessary, additional card details).
- Check that the required fields of the card are filled in and record (save) the entry.
- Repeat for each source you need in your work.
- Go to the document where a source of origin must be specified and make sure that the added values are available for selection.
After the records are added, they become available when filling out documents where a source of origin must be specified, and are then used in reports built on this analytics.
How to use sources in documents and reports
When posting documents that provide for a source attribute, select the required value from the reference book — this way the analytics is correctly recorded in the registers. In reports, the source of origin is usually available as a grouping or filtering attribute: this allows you to see data broken down by specific sources and to reconcile them with each other.
- Fill in the source uniformly in all related documents so that the analytics does not "diverge."
- If different sources are specified for the same object in different documents, the data in the report will be split into different rows — check the consistency of the entries.
- Before generating reports that involve this analytics, make sure that all documents of the period are posted with the source filled in.
If values do not appear in documents
If after configuration the values do not appear in documents or reports, check that all the necessary records in the reference book are filled in correctly and saved. Pay attention to the following points:
- The reference book record is actually recorded (saved) and did not remain in creation mode.
- All required details are filled in on the value card — if fields are left blank, the record may not be displayed in the selection.
- The record is not marked for deletion and not deactivated (if the reference book provides a usage/relevance attribute).
- You are opening exactly the document and the field that are linked to this analytics — the source is not requested in all documents.
- The document form is updated: sometimes it is enough to reopen the document or refresh the form so that new reference book values are pulled in.
If after all the checks the value is still unavailable, reopen the reference book, find the created record via search, and make sure that it physically exists and is not duplicated.
Common mistakes
- The record is not saved. The value has been entered, but the card was closed without recording — it will not appear in documents.
- Unfilled required fields. The program does not allow using a value whose key details are not filled in.
- Duplicate values. Several similar records lead to the data being split into parts in reports.
- Wrong object. The source is filled in a document that is not linked to this analytics — the attribute is simply absent.
- Different entries for the same object. Different sources are specified in different documents, causing the report to show incomparable data.
What to check
- All required source values are entered into the reference book and recorded.
- The required details of the cards are filled in correctly.
- The records are not marked for deletion and are available for selection.
- In the documents of the period, the source of origin is filled in uniformly.
- Reports using this analytics are generated with the expected grouping by sources.
- There are no duplicate values in the reference book.
