Checked on release 3.0.74.2 "Accounting for Kazakhstan" (version 3.0).
You have created the same supplier twice: "LLP Astana Service" and "Astana Service, LLP". Some documents went to one entry, some to the other. Now the turnover on account 3310 is "duplicating", the reconciliation does not match, and 1C does not allow you to delete the duplicate: you mark it for deletion, run the control — and get "The object cannot be deleted as it has references". The question is: where exactly is it used? This is why "Places of Reference Usage" is opened. The report quickly provides a complete list of all documents and directories that reference the object — so you know exactly what to repost, where to move the data, and whether it can be deleted at all.
1. Purpose
"Places of Reference Usage" is a service report. It finds all database objects that reference the selected item (counterparty, contract, nomenclature, expense item, warehouse, any document). This is not an accounting document: it does not post anything, does not generate electronic invoices (ESF), and does not make movements in registers. Its task is to show dependencies before deletion, replacement of duplicates, or analysis of "who touched this".
2. Where to find
There are three ways — choose the one that is convenient.
- Through the object itself (the fastest). Open the list, for example
Directories → Counterparties. Select the desired counterparty → button "More" → "Places of Usage". The report will open immediately for this item. - Through deletion of marked items.
Administration (or NSI and administration) → Maintenance → Deletion of marked objects. If the object cannot be deleted, the same list of places of usage can be called by the button next to it. - As a separate report. Menu "All Functions" (
Service → All Functions, if the item is enabled) → section "Reports".

2a. How to find out your release
Menu "Help" → "About the program". In the opened window, the platform version is indicated (for example, 8.3.24) and the configuration release ("Accounting for Kazakhstan, version 3.0, release 3.0.74.2"). The location of the "More" and "Places of Usage" buttons does not change much between releases, but the names of sections in older versions may differ — check against your number.
3. How to fill out
The report is minimalist: the main thing is to correctly specify what you are looking for and where you are looking for it.

Order of work:
- Select the object (preferably — through the list, using the "More → Places of Usage" button).
- Click "Generate".
- Examine the result tree: grouped by types (Documents, Directories, Registers).
- Double-click on the line to open the document or item itself — and there you can edit, repost, or move the data.
4. Analyzed example
Task. There are two counterparties in the database: "LLP Astana Service" (correct, IIN/BIN 123456789012) and the duplicate "Astana Service LLP". The duplicate needs to be deleted, but the control does not allow it.
Step 1. Select the duplicate in the "Counterparties" directory → "More" → "Places of Usage" → "Generate".
Step 2. The report provides a tree:

Step 3. You see exactly 5 places. Open each document by double-clicking and change the counterparty to the correct one (or use the "Find and Replace Values" processing), then repost.
What the related documents contained (illustration, the report itself does not make postings). Receipt of goods for 1,160,000 ₸ with VAT 16%:

Step 4. After replacing the counterparty in all five places, generate "Places of Usage" for the duplicate again — the list is empty. Now mark the duplicate for deletion and delete it: the reference integrity control passes.
Result: the report did not change any amounts, but showed the exact route of corrections and saved the turnover on 3310 from "duplication".
5. Types of operations
The service report does not have "types of operations" like a document. Practically, it is used in three scenarios:
- Before deletion — to check if the object is free.
- When cleaning duplicates — to find all documents for replacement with the correct item.
- For dependency analysis — to understand what will "break" if the object is changed or reposted.
6. What is generated upon posting
Nothing. The report is not posted. It does not create accounting entries, does not make movements in accumulation and information registers, does not issue ESF and SCT, does not send data to the ESF IS. The only result is a table (tree) of found places of usage on the screen, which can be printed or exported.
Electronic documents (ESF, SCT), debit/credit entries, and register records are generated by those objects that the report found (receipts, sales, payments) — but not by the report itself.
7. Print forms
The report does not have a separate regulated print form. The standard for tabular documents in 1C is available:
- Print the generated tree (
Ctrl+Por the "Print" button). - Save / export the result to a file: Excel (
.xlsx), tabular document (.mxl), PDF — through "More → Save as…".
8. Common errors
"The object cannot be deleted as it has references in other objects". This is the reason to open the report. Generate the places of usage, move/delete the references, then repeat the deletion.
You are looking for a duplicate but editing the original (or vice versa). The report is always built strictly for the selected item. Before replacing, verify the IIN/BIN and details — it is easy to confuse "LLP Astana Service" and "Astana Service LLP".
"No references", although there are. The search in all data was not enabled / there was a narrow filter by types. Remove the filters, enable full search, and generate again.
The report is empty immediately after opening. You did not click "Generate" (F5). The report does not build automatically.
You cannot find the "Places of Usage" item. In the "Taxi" interface, it is hidden in the "More" button above the list, not in the right-click context menu. Or call it via the navigation link.
9. FAQ
Does this report post documents and change amounts? No. This is a service tool for reading only. It shows where the object is used but does not change or post anything.
Does it generate ESF or SCT? No. ESF and SCT are issued by documents of sales/receipts. The report can only show that such ESF reference the sought object.
How to quickly open the report for a specific counterparty? Select it in the list and click "More → Places of Usage". The object field will fill automatically.
Why does 1C not allow deleting the counterparty/nomenclature? Because other objects (documents, contracts, registers) reference it. The report will show them by name — remove the references, and the deletion will proceed.
What is the difference from the "Find and Replace Values" processing? "Places of Usage" only show dependencies. "Find and Replace Values" can mass replace one item with another in all found places — they are convenient to use together.
Can the result be exported to Excel? Yes, through "More → Save as…" in formats xlsx, mxl, or PDF.
The report found references in registers but not in documents — what does this mean? It means there are no direct documents anymore, but movements remain (for example, in the information register). They also need to be removed/reposted, otherwise, the deletion will not proceed.
Does the report work for any database object? Yes — for directory items, documents, characteristic plan values, accounts. The rules for reference integrity checking are the same for the entire configuration.
Does the choice of search object affect the VAT rate or tax calculation? No. The report does not calculate taxes. The VAT rate of 16%, MRP of 4,325 ₸, and other parameters for 2026 relate to the documents themselves, not to this service report.
Is administrator rights needed to use it? Usually no: viewing places of usage is available to regular users. However, deletion of marked objects is often restricted by rights.
10. Related objects

Administration → Maintenance) — the main "neighbor": the report is called directly from it during unsuccessful control. - Find and Replace Values — mass replacement of the found object with another (merging duplicates).
- Any source document — what the report finds: receipts, sales, payment documents, invoices (ESF), counterparty contracts, bank accounts. You open them by double-clicking directly from the result and edit.

"Help" → "About the program". There, the platform version and configuration release are indicated. This guide is compiled for "Accounting for Kazakhstan", version 3.0, release 3.0.74.2.
