Checked on release 3.0.74.2 "Accounting for Kazakhstan" (version 3.0).
The counterparty sent a reconciliation act, but you have a different amount of debt in your records. Or you are closing the month and see that there is an unclear balance on account 1210. Or the chief accountant asks you to quickly show who owes you and how much at the end of the quarter. In all these cases, you open the same report — turnover and balance sheet for the account. This is your first tool when you need to decipher the balance or turnover for a specific account in terms of counterparties, contracts, nomenclature, and other sub-accounts.
1. Purpose
The report shows for the selected account: the balance at the beginning of the period, turnover on the debit and credit for the period, and the balance at the end. All this is detailed by the sub-accounts of the account (counterparties, contracts, nomenclature, expense items). This is the main "navigator" for one account: from the total amount, you drill down to a specific document.
2. Where to find
Menu path: section "Reports" → group "Standard Reports" → "Turnover and Balance Sheet for the Account".
To open the report directly from 1C, copy the navigation link and paste it through "Service and Settings" (▼ icon in the upper right corner) → "Go to Navigation Link" (or using the keyboard shortcut):
e1cib/list/Report.TurnoverAndBalanceSheetForAccountStandard
2a. How to find out your release
Click the "?" icon (Help) in the upper right corner → "About the Program". In the opened window, there will be a line with the platform version (for example, 8.3.24) and a line "Configuration: Accounting for Kazakhstan, version 3.0 (3.0.74.2)". The number in parentheses is your release. The instructions below are written for release 3.0.74.2; in neighboring releases, the location of the fields is the same.
3. How to fill out (configure)
The report does not conduct any transactions — it reads already prepared data. Therefore, "fill out" here = correctly set the formation parameters. Let's break down each field.
| Field | Purpose | What will happen in case of error |
|---|---|---|
| Period (from … to …) — mandatory | Determines the interval for taking turnovers and on which dates to calculate balances | If you forget to set the end date — you will see turnovers "to infinity"; if you narrow the period — you will lose necessary documents |
| Account — mandatory | The account you are deciphering (1210, 3310, 1330, etc.) | If you selected the wrong account — the report is empty or not about that |
| Organization — mandatory if there are several in the database | Limits the data to one legal entity | If not selected — amounts will "merge" across all organizations |
| "Show Settings" button | Opens the tabs for fine-tuning | — |
After selecting the parameters, click "Generate" (F5).
"Grouping" tab — by which sub-accounts to expand. For account 1210, it makes sense to leave "Counterparties" and "Contracts". Remove the unnecessary — the table will become shorter.
"Filter" tab — if you need only one counterparty or one nomenclature. Condition: "Counterparty" — "Equals" — select. The report will show rows only for it.
"Indicators" tab — which columns to display:
- BU (accounting) — amounts in tenge;
- Quantity — include for inventory accounts (1330) to see pieces/kg;
- Currency amount — for currency accounts (for example, currency variant 1030).
"Additional" tab — here are the key checkboxes:
- "Expanded balance" — critical for active-passive accounts (1210/3310, 3350). Without it, the debit and credit balances for different counterparties will mutually "collapse" into one figure, and you will not see the real picture of debts.
- "Display turnovers by sub-accounts" and "By sub-accounts".
"Formatting" tab — you can enable "Highlight negative balances in red" to immediately see anomalies (for example, a credit balance on an active account).
4. An example with numbers and transactions
Task: decipher account 1210 "Short-term accounts receivable from customers" for September 2026 for the counterparty LLP "Astana-Snab".
Initial data:
- As of 01.09.2026, the customer owes you 500,000 ₸ (initial debit balance).
- On 10.09.2026, you sold goods for 1,160,000 ₸ including VAT: price without VAT 1,000,000 ₸ + VAT 16% = 160,000 ₸.
- On 25.09.2026, the customer paid 660,000 ₸ to the current account.
Transactions that form the documents (which are "collected" by the turnover and balance sheet):
Sale of goods (document "Sale of goods and services"):
| Debit | Credit | Amount, ₸ | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1210 | 6010 | 1,000,000 | Income from sales |
| 1210 | 3130 | 160,000 | VAT 16% payable |
| 7010 | 1330 | 700,000 | Cost of goods sold |
Receipt of payment (document "Receipt to the current account"):
| Debit | Credit | Amount, ₸ | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1030 | 1210 | 660,000 | Payment from customer |
What the turnover and balance sheet will show for account 1210 (line for LLP "Astana-Snab"):
| Indicator | Debit, ₸ | Credit, ₸ |
|---|---|---|
| Balance at the beginning | 500,000 | — |
| Turnover for the period | 1,160,000 | 660,000 |
| Balance at the end | 1,000,000 | — |
Verification: 500,000 + 1,160,000 − 660,000 = 1,000,000 ₸. This is the amount you reconcile with the counterparty's act. If their act states, say, 840,000 ₸ — the difference of 160,000 ₸ equals the VAT amount, and you immediately understand where to look: the counterparty did not account for VAT in the sale.
5. Types of operations (formation options)
The report is universal, it does not have "types of operations" like a document, but there are output modes that completely change the picture:
- By sub-accounts — expands the account to 1211, 1212, etc.
- By sub-accounts — breakdown by counterparties/contracts/nomenclature.
- With expanded balance — separate debit and credit balances (for 1210, 3310, 3350).
- With quantity — for inventory accounts (1310, 1330).
- In currency — parallel to tenge and the currency of the operation.
- By departments — if accounting is done by departments.
6. What is formed during generation
It is important to understand: the turnover and balance sheet is a report, not a document. It does not make entries, does not create electronic invoices (ESF) or tax returns (FNO), and does not write movements in registers. It only reads the accounting register "Cost Accounting" and shows summarized balances and turnovers. Electronic documents (ESF in the ESF system, tax returns) form primary source documents — sales, receipts — while the turnover and balance sheet only reflects their numerical result. Therefore, "re-conducting the turnover and balance sheet" is not possible; if the data is incorrect — correct the source documents and click "Generate" again.
7. Print forms
The report does not have a separate regulated print form — the generated table itself is printed. Available:
- "Print" (Ctrl+P) — outputs the statement to the printer.
- "Save as…” — export to Excel (.xlsx), .mxl, .pdf.
- "Send by email" — as an attachment directly from 1C.
Before printing, check the header: the organization, account, and period are automatically filled in — this is the "header" of your statement for the reconciliation act or month-end folder.
8. Common mistakes
"Account not selected" — the report is not generated. Fill in the mandatory field "Account".
The active-passive account collapsed into one amount. For example, for 1210, only a balance of 40,000 ₸ is visible, although some owe you, and you owe others. Solution: "Additional" tab → checkbox "Expanded balance".
Amounts "doubled". There are several organizations in the database, and the "Organization" filter is not set. Select the required legal entity.
Red credit balance on active account 1330. This is not a report error — it is a signal: goods are written off negatively (sold more than received). Check the sequence of documents and run "Restore Sequence" / re-conducting.
The balance does not match the counterparty's act exactly by the VAT amount. A common reason is that the counterparty calculates the debt without VAT. Reconcile by the total amount including VAT (16%).
The report is empty, although there are documents. Most likely, the documents are not processed (gray) or the date is outside the period. Check processing and period boundaries.
9. FAQ
How to see in the turnover and balance sheet which documents formed the balance? Double-click on the amount of interest — a breakdown will open. By drilling down to the document, you will access the actual sale or payment.
Why is there a credit balance on active account 1210? Usually, this is an advance from the customer, reflected on the same account. Enable "Expanded balance" — you will see that for some contracts there is a debit (debt), and for others, a credit (advance). It is more correct to keep advances on 3510.
How to quickly create a reconciliation act from the turnover and balance sheet? The turnover and balance sheet provides the debt figure, but for the official act, use a separate document "Reconciliation Act of Mutual Settlements". The turnover and balance sheet is for quick internal checks.
Can I see the quantity of goods, not just the amount? Yes. "Indicators" tab → checkbox "Quantity". Works for inventory accounts (1310, 1330).
Why is the sales amount in the turnover and balance sheet greater than the income amount? Because the entire amount including VAT goes to account 1210. Income (6010) is without VAT, and 160,000 ₸ at a rate of 16% is the VAT on account 3130. Turnover for 1210 = income + VAT.
How to view the turnover and balance sheet for all accounts at once? This is a different report — "Turnover and Balance Sheet" (without the words "for the account"). It provides a summary table for the entire chart of accounts.
The report is taking a long time to generate — what to do? Narrow the period, remove unnecessary groupings, and eliminate unnecessary indicators. For a large database, generate it monthly.
How to save your settings so you don't have to set them every time? The "Save Settings" button (diskette icon next to the option selection). Next time, you will select it from the list of options.
Is the VAT rate in the example 16% correct? Yes. Since 2026, the VAT rate in Kazakhstan is 16% (not 12%, as in older materials). You will see its result on account 3130 in the turnover and balance sheet.
What to do if the turnover and balance sheet does not match the balance? Check the month-end closing and the sequence of document processing. Often the reason is an unprocessed document or a manual entry bypassing the sub-account.
