This behavior is usually related to the fact that the sales document or the ESF itself was processed incorrectly relative to each other — the goods were written off not once, but twice due to a broken sequence of documents. To understand the cause, you need to check the document subordination structure.
How to do this
Open the problematic document (the cancelled ESF or the related sale) and look at its subordination structure — this will show which documents were created based on each other and how they are related to one another. Using the subordination structure, you can see whether there is duplication: for example, if the sale and the ESF turned out to be processed separately, without proper linkage to each other, or if after the ESF was cancelled, extra stock movements remained that were not reversed.
If the subordination structure reveals that the documents duplicate each other or are linked incorrectly, they will need to be reprocessed in the correct sequence, or the extra document that caused the repeated write-off of stock will need to be deleted.
