Verified on release 3.0.74.2 "Accounting for Kazakhstan" (edition 3.0).

The buyer sent the money, the bank showed it in the statement, but in your records — silence. Or the opposite: the amount arrived, but it doesn't match the act by a few tiyn, and you don't understand where to "attach" the difference. This is exactly where "Receipt of funds" comes in — this is the document with which you record any incoming money to a bank account (or to the cash desk) and decide whose debt has been settled: the buyer's, the supplier's on a return, or whether it's a loan at all. What you specify in this document determines whether the receivables will "collapse" and whether an eternal advance will "hang" on the counterparty.

1. Purpose

The document records the receipt of money to a current (foreign currency) account or to the cash desk and simultaneously settles the corresponding calculation: payment from a buyer, a return from a supplier, receipt of a loan, credit, or other income. It makes the accounting entry to the debit of the money account and generates movements for mutual settlements and for the cash flow statement.

2. Where to find

- Section "Bank and cash desk" → "Receipt of funds" (bank documents journal).

- Usually the document is created automatically when loading a bank statement (Bank and cash desk → Bank statements → "Load"), and you only fill it in and post it.

- Manual creation button: in the journal "Create".

To open the journal directly in 1C: Main menu → Tools → "Navigate by link", paste:

e1cib/list/Документ.ПоступлениеДенежныхСредств

2a. How to find out your release

"Help" → "About the program" (or the "i" icon in the top right corner). In the window that opens you will see the platform version (for example, 8.3.24) and the configuration version — "Accounting for Kazakhstan, edition 3.0 (3.0.74.2)". The instruction is relevant for release 3.0.74.2; in neighboring releases the composition of fields is practically identical.

3. How to fill in

Fill in from top to bottom — some fields will be pulled up along the chain.

Field
Why it matters and what happens on error

Organization (required)
Accounting and VAT accounts are selected based on it. With several companies in the database it's easy to set the wrong one — then the money will "land" on the wrong company.

Type of operation (required)
Determines the whole logic: which fields are visible, which accounts and registers will move. Change it first — after changing, the table is rebuilt.

Accounting account / Bank account (required)
Where the money arrived. For a current account — 1030, for the cash desk — 1010. A wrong account will distort the bank balance and the cash flow statement.

Date (required)
The crediting date per the bank statement. If you set the wrong date, the receipt will move to another period and "break" the reconciliation with the bank.

Amount (required)
Exactly as much as arrived per the statement. The debt is settled based on it.

Counterparty
From whom the money came. Without it the receivables won't close — the amount will hang "without an owner".

Contract
Required for mutual settlements. If the contract is wrong — the payment won't find the right act and will create an extra advance.

Cash flow item (CFI)
A line of the cash flow statement (form 3). An empty item = a "hole" in the CFS.

Payment purpose
Transfer the text from the statement — it will get into the bank reporting and simplify searching.

VAT rate / VAT amount
For advances from buyers: rate 16%. Used to calculate VAT on the advance, if you accrue it.

Payment breakdown (table)
Here you distribute the amount across contracts and settlement documents. You set the settlement account (1210) and the advance account (3510). An error here = the advance won't net against the debt.

Mandatory minimum for posting: Organization, Type of operation, Accounting account, Amount, Date, and for settlements with a counterparty — Counterparty and Contract.

4. Worked example with entries

Situation. LLP "Astra" on September 6, 2026 shipped goods to LLP "Client" for 1,160,000 ₸, incl. VAT 16% = 160,000 ₸ (per the invoice income 1,000,000 ₸). On September 8 the full payment arrived to the current account — 1,160,000 ₸.

You fill in the document:

- Type of operation — "Payment from buyer";

- Accounting account — 1030;

- Counterparty — LLP "Client", contract "Supply No. 12";

- Amount — 1,160,000 ₸;

- Settlement account — 1210, advance account — 3510;

- CFI — "Receipt from sale of goods".

Entry upon posting:

Dr
Cr
Amount, ₸
Meaning

1030
1210
1,160,000
Payment credited, buyer's debt settled

The receivables of LLP "Client" on account 1210 are zeroed out. VAT here is not accrued again — it is already included in the sale (Dr 1210 Cr 6010 for 1,000,000 and Dr 1210 Cr 3130 for 160,000 upon shipment).

Advance variant. If the money (1,160,000 ₸) had arrived before the shipment, the program would have seen the absence of debt and made:

Dr
Cr
Amount, ₸
Meaning

1030
3510
1,160,000
Advance received from buyer

And after shipment the advance would have been offset by the entry Dr 3510 Cr 1210.

5. Types of operation

The document is universal — choosing the type of operation switches the fields and entries:

- Payment from buyer — Dr 1030 Cr 1210 (or Cr 3510 for an advance);

- Return from supplier — Dr 1030 Cr 3310 (or Cr 1610 when closing an issued advance);

- Settlements on credits and loans — receipt of a loan/credit: Dr 1030 Cr 3010/4010 (short-term/long-term);

- Return of accountable amounts — Dr 1030 Cr 1250;

- Settlements on other operations — with an arbitrary credit account specified;

- Collection / receipt from cash desk — a transfer within your own accounts: Dr 1030 Cr 1010 (account 1020 "Money in transit" as a transit);

- Other receipt — manual selection of the credit account for non-standard crediting.

6. What is generated upon posting

- Accounting entry — in the "Self-supporting" register (Dr of the money account — Cr of the settlement/income/loan account).

- Register "Mutual settlements with counterparties" — a decrease of the debt or an increase of the advance.

- Register "Funds" and data for the Cash flow statement (form 3) — per the specified CFI.

- VAT settlements (on advances) — if you keep VAT accounting on received advances at the rate of 16%.

About ESI and CTN. The very fact of the receipt of money in Kazakhstan does not give rise to an ESI or CTN — the electronic invoice is issued upon the fact of turnover (sale), not upon payment. Therefore ESI/CTN are not issued from this document; look for them in the sales documents.

7. Printed forms

For a bank receipt a dedicated printed form is usually not required — the money is already in the account, and the bank statement serves as confirmation. From the document the following are available:

- Accounting statement (breakdown of entries);

- Incoming cash order (CO-1) — if the accounting account is the cash desk (1010);

- Receipt for the incoming cash order — for a cash receipt.

8. Common mistakes

"The counterparty's contract is not filled in" — you specified the counterparty but did not select a contract. Open the breakdown line and pick a contract of the right type ("With buyer" / "With supplier").

"The 'Organization' field is not filled in" — during manual creation you forgot the company. Fill it in — then the accounting accounts will be pulled up.

After payment an advance "hangs" on the counterparty, although there was an act. The reason is that the wrong contract is selected in the breakdown or the settlement document is not specified. Check the contract and, if necessary, specify the specific document (the sale) that you are closing.

The amount doesn't match the statement by a few tiyn / the bank fee. The fee cannot be "hidden" in the receipt. Post it with a separate document "Write-off of funds" with the type "Other write-off" to account 7210/1030.

"Accounting account 1010 does not correspond to the type of operation". You selected a cash account in a bank receipt. Set account 1030 or switch to an incoming cash order.

The CFS doesn't match — there's an empty line in form 3. The cash flow item is not filled in. Set the CFI in all receipts for the period.

9. FAQ

How to reflect the receipt of money to a settlement account in Accounting for Kazakhstan?
Through the document "Receipt of funds" (section "Bank and cash desk"). Usually it is created when loading a bank statement — you just need to check the counterparty, contract, cash flow item and post it.

Which account is on the debit for a payment from a buyer?
Debit 1030 "Money in current bank accounts", credit 1210 "Short-term accounts receivable of buyers". For an advance the credit is 3510.

Is VAT accrued upon receipt of money?
For payment of already shipped goods — no, VAT is accounted for in the sale. Upon receiving an advance you can accrue VAT on the advance at the rate of 16% — for this the document has fields for the VAT rate and amount.

Is an ESI issued from this document?
No. In Kazakhstan an ESI is issued upon turnover (sale), not upon payment. ESI and CTN are drawn up in the shipment documents, not in the receipt of money.

How to post the receipt of a loan from a founder or a bank?
Type of operation "Settlements on credits and loans", credit account 3010 (short-term) or 4010 (long-term) depending on the term.

Why does the buyer still have a debt after payment?
Most likely the wrong contract is specified or the amount is allocated to an advance (3510) rather than to closing 1210. Check the payment breakdown and select the right contract/settlement document.

How to account for the bank fee withheld upon crediting?
With a separate document "Write-off of funds", type "Other write-off", Dr 7210 Cr 1030. In the receipt reflect only the actually credited amount.

What to do if the money arrived, but the contract and counterparty are not yet in the database?
Create the counterparty and the contract directly from the document (the "+" button in the selection field), then allocate the amount. Without a contract the mutual settlement won't close.

Can several accounts/acts be closed with one document?
Yes. In the "Payment breakdown" table add several lines — a separate amount for each contract and settlement document. The total of the lines must equal the receipt amount.

Where does the cash flow item go?
Into the "Funds" register and into the Cash flow statement (form 3). Without it the receipt won't get into the right line of the CFS.
