Checked on release 3.0.74.2 "Accounting for Kazakhstan" (version 3.0).

End of the month. The director comes in and asks: "Are we in the black or in the red? How much have we earned?" All you have in mind is the revenue from the bank, while the expenses for the month are substantial: rent, salaries, goods, advertising. Everything is in the turnover report, but there are forty lines, and the financial result is not visible as a single figure. You open the "Income and Expenses" report — and in 10 seconds you get three numbers: income, expenses, profit. Another minute later — a breakdown of where the money went.

This is a report, not a document. It does not post or change anything in the accounting. It reads what you have already accrued through documents and organizes "income / expense / result" neatly. Therefore, the following discussion will be about settings, not about filling in document fields.

1. Purpose

The report shows income (accounts from section 6000) and expenses (accounts from section 7000) for the period and calculates the financial result — profit or loss. This is a managerial view of "how much we earned," not a tax declaration. It helps quickly answer the manager and see the structure of expenses.

2. Where to find

Menu path: section "For the Manager" (or "Reports") → block "Income and Expenses" → report "Income and Expenses".

A quick way to open it directly in 1C: Service → "Go to navigation link" (or Alt+F1), paste:

e1cib/list/Report.IncomeExpenses

The report will open immediately, bypassing the menu search.

2a. How to find out your release

"Help" → "About the program" (in the "Taxi" interface — the button with the question mark in the upper right corner → "About the program"). In the opened window, two lines are important: platform version ("1C:Enterprise 8.3.24…") and configuration version ("Accounting for Kazakhstan, version 3.0, 3.0.74.2"). The instruction is written for release 3.0.74.2. If you have a different one, the button locations may differ slightly, but the logic remains the same.

3. How to set up and generate

You do not need to fill in the report — you need to set the parameters and click "Generate". Let's break down each parameter: what it does and what will happen if you make a mistake.

Parameter
What it sets
What will happen in case of an error

Period (MANDATORY)
For which period the turnovers are taken.
Too broad a period — other months' profits will be included. If you miss the last day of the month — daily revenue will be "lost." Always check that the end date = the last day of the required month.

Organization (MANDATORY, if there are multiple companies)
Which legal entity to calculate for.
If you leave it blank or choose the wrong company — the figures will mix or be incorrect. With one organization, the field is filled in automatically.

Grouping (by articles / accounts / departments)
How to lay out the lines: by income and expense articles, by accounts, by departments.
Without grouping, you will only see totals "income/expense" without a breakdown — you won't understand what you earned on.

Filter (by department, article, nomenclature group)
Narrow the selection, for example, show only one store.
If you forget to remove the old filter — half of the data will "disappear," and you will be looking for the "missing" revenue in vain.

Currency
In the report, amounts are converted to tenge (₸).
Usually, it does not need to be changed.

The "Settings" button (or "Show settings") opens the advanced mode: there you can add additional fields, sorting, formatting. The "Generate" button recalculates the report after any change — if you changed the period and the figures remain the same, it means you simply did not click "Generate."

4. An example with figures and postings

LLP on the general taxation regime, VAT payer. September 2026. For the month, there were:

- Sold goods for 1,160,000 ₸ including VAT. The VAT rate for 2026 is 16%. Therefore, income excluding VAT = 1,000,000 ₸, VAT = 160,000 ₸.

- The cost of goods sold is 620,000 ₸.

- Office rent — 150,000 ₸ (excluding VAT, for simplicity).

- Accrued salaries for administration — 200,000 ₸.

The documents generated the following postings:

Operation
Debit
Credit
Amount, ₸

Revenue from sales
1210
6010
1,000,000

VAT on sales
1210
3130
160,000

Cost of goods sold written off
7010
1330
620,000

Office rent
7210
3310
150,000

Salaries accrued
7210
3350
200,000

Now we generate the "Income and Expenses" report for September 2026:

Indicator
Account
Amount, ₸

Income
6010
1,000,000

Expenses
7010 (cost of goods sold)
620,000

7210 (administrative)
350,000

Total expenses

970,000

Financial result (profit)

30,000

The key point: VAT of 160,000 ₸ does not participate in income — it is not your earnings, but a liability to the budget (account 3130). Only the turnover from 6010 = 1,000,000 ₸ is included in the report. If you think that "income is understated by the amount of VAT" — that is correct, and it should be that way. Profit before tax is 30,000 ₸.

5. Types (variants) of the report

The same report provides different slices — selected in the "Variant" field or through groupings:

- By income and expense articles — managerial view: rent, salaries, advertising as separate lines.

- By accounts — accounting view: turnovers for each account 6000/7000.

- By departments — compare stores, branches, workshops with each other.

- By nomenclature groups — which direction/product earned, and which is at a loss.

- With dynamics by months — compare September with August in one table.

6. What the report shows and where it gets data

The report does not post anything, does not create ESF or tax invoices, does not make movements in registers. It is only reading. It takes turnovers from the accounting register "Cost Accounting" by accounts:

- Income — credit turnovers of accounts from section 6000 (6010 "Revenue from sales" and others).

- Expenses — debit turnovers of accounts from section 7000 (7010 "Cost of goods sold," 7210 "Administrative expenses," 7110 "Selling expenses," etc.).

- Financial result — the difference "income minus expenses."

Therefore, the rule is simple: what is not posted by documents will not be in the report. If you forgot to post the sale — the income will not appear. If you did not close the month / did not write off the cost of goods sold — the expense will be incomplete.

7. Print forms and output

The report does not have a separate form (like an invoice) — it is analytics. But the result can be:

- Print — the "Print" button outputs a tabular document to the printer.

- Save as... — Excel (.xlsx), PDF, ODF, HTML — for sending to the director or saving to a file.

- Email — directly from the report form as an attachment.

- Save setting — so you do not have to gather the variant anew every month.

8. Common mistakes and how to fix them

"The mandatory field 'Organization' is not filled." This appears when there are multiple companies in the database, and you did not select which one to calculate for. Specify the organization in the report header and click "Generate."

The report is empty, although there were sales. Three reasons in order of frequency: (1) incorrect period — check that the dates cover the required month entirely; (2) an old filter by department/article is still applied — open "Settings" and remove it; (3) sales documents are not posted — open the sales journal and check that the lines are posted (there is no "not posted" mark).

Income in the report is less than in the bank. This is normal: money comes to the bank including VAT, while the income includes the amount excluding VAT (account 6010). The difference = VAT on account 3130. Also, the customer's advance is not yet income (account 3510); it will appear in the report only after the sale is posted.

There is profit, but no money in the account. The report calculates on an accrual basis, not cash basis. You shipped the goods (income recognized), but the customer has not paid yet — the amount is in receivables on 1210. For cash movement, look at another report — for account 1030.

Expenses are inflated by the amount of VAT on purchases. Check that incoming VAT is attributed to 1420, not to the expense account. If VAT mistakenly went to section 7 — correct the posting of the receipt document.

9. FAQ

1. How does "Income and Expenses" differ from the profit and loss report?
This is a managerial, quick snapshot of turnovers 6000/7000 for any period. The profit and loss report (financial reporting form) is built according to regulatory rules and for the reporting year. For "looking over a week," "Income and Expenses" is more convenient.

2. Why is income less than the amount received in the account?
Money comes to the account with VAT (16% in 2026), while the income includes the amount excluding VAT. VAT is accounted separately on account 3130 and does not participate in income.

3. Is the customer's advance considered income?
No. The received advance is a liability (account 3510), not income. It will become income (6010) only after the sale is posted.

4. Why is there profit, but no cash?
The report works on an accrual basis. You shipped the goods — income is recognized, even if payment has not yet arrived (it is on 1210). For cash, look separately at account 1030.

5. Does the report create postings or ESF?
No. It is only reading data. Postings, ESF, and tax invoices are created by documents (sales, receipts). The report only displays them.

6. How to see what made up the expense line?
Double-clicking on the amount will open a breakdown (usually the account card or report on postings), where each document is visible.

7. Can I compare two stores or two months?
Yes. For stores, enable grouping "by departments," for months — the variant "with dynamics by months" or generate the report twice for different periods.

8. Is this report suitable for calculating taxes (CIT, PIT)?
As a guideline — yes, but the tax base is calculated according to the rules of the Tax Code and is not equal to accounting profit (there are deductions, adjustments). For taxes, use tax registers and declarations, not this report directly.

9. Why did the figures change after closing the month?
When closing the month, the cost of goods sold is written off, expenses are allocated, and taxes are accrued. Until the month is closed, expenses are incomplete. Generate the report after performing "Month End Closing."

10. Related documents

The report "based on" does not input anything and is not itself input based on — it only reads data. Its figures are formed by:

- Sales of goods and services — provides income (6010) and VAT (3130).

- Receipt of goods and services — forms cost and expenses (7010, 7210).

- Accrual of salaries, Receipt to the settlement account / from cash, Regulatory month-end closing operations — affect expenses and financial results.

Related reports that are viewed alongside: Turnover and balance statement, Account analysis, Financial results (P&L).

How to find out your release: "Help" → "About the program" — there you will find the platform version and configuration version.

The instruction is relevant for "Accounting for Kazakhstan," version 3.0, release 3.0.74.2. Data for the RK 2026: VAT rate 16%, MRP 4,325 ₸, MSP 85,000 ₸.
